here is an excerpt of the interview by john and benz with atty fortun over at weddingsatwork.com:

RF: Like any lawyer, I am a voracious reader. Since a lot of photographers have been shooting a lot longer than me, I stocked up on several books and e-books on wedding photography to get their inputs. My passion for portraitures was nurtured by Mr. Ross Capili. In events and weddings, I was mentored by Mr. Frank Dizon of Imagineer Digital.

J&B: Describe to us how your very first wedding coverage felt like? What did you learn of that first hands-on experience?

RF: My first wedding coverage was as a back-up for Frank Dizon. Even before the day itself, I had already primed myself on what images I should produce by reading my wedding photography books and viewing the websites of established wedding photographers like Patrick Uy, Dino Lara, Bern Mejias, Lito Sy and Chito Cleofas.

sheesh... me being lined up with patrick uy and dino lara? wow... now that still can't sink in. but... thanks thanks to the people and clients who believed in imagineer and frank dizon.

It was such a good week! firstly, I learnt from a client that Imagineer Digital was mentioned at Wedding Essentials 2nd Issue 08. then Atty Fortun's interview surfaced up this weekend. He mentioned it a couple of weeks back that he was interviewd by John and Benz Rana or weddingsatwork.com. Imagineer Digital got its first wedding client from weddingsatwork.com way back in 2004, being introduced to John and Benz by a friend who used their website. thanks John and Benz! Here is an excerpt of the interview:

Q:  Did you have somebody mentoring you when you started?  Who?
A:  Like any lawyer, i am a voracious reader.  Since a lot of photographers have been shooting a lot longer than i, i stocked up on several books and e-books on wedding photography to get their inputs.  My passion for portraitures was nurtured by Mr. Ross Capili.  In events and weddings, i was mentored by Mr. Frank Dizon of Imagineer Digital.

Q:  Describe to us how your very first wedding coverage felt like?  What did you learn of that first hand-on experience?
A:  My first wedding coverage was as a back-up for Frank Dizon.  Even before the day itself, i had already primed myself on what images i should produce by reading my wedding photography books and viewing the websites of established wedding photographers like Patrick Uy, Dino Lara, Bern Mejias, Lito Sy and Chito Cleofas.  What did i learn?  People do not realize how difficult wedding photography is until they try it.  It is 10-12 hours of coverage where one has to literally always be on his toes, where teamwork with other co-photographers is essential, and where one's creative juices are going to be put to an ultimate test.

I'm proud that sir Raymond has really learned the ropes in doing wedding photography, and that it really deserve nerves of steel working on attention 12-14 hours.

Thanks Sir Attorney! :P

we are pleased to be the official photo and video documentation company of RX93.1 Monster Radio at their anniversary party last night at white avenue. whoa... it was a blast doing it. we initially had a photoshoot at metrowalk for their launch of the Monster Van. imagine i was in the van together with chico and del... im a fan, expecially of their "the Morning Rush" radio show. it was a blast! an ordinary me mingling with one of the metro's most celebrated DJ tandem.

come party night, we eyeballed some celebrities in the party, Jay-R and Mother Lily. lines were so loong.. and the party was so hot! so hot in fact, my eyes scorched seeing beautiful women strewn all around the club. click on http://imagineerdigital.multiply.com/photos/album/134/monsterized for some of the images we took.

With all things that are happening with Imagineer Digital now, some things stand out from the rest. Like, I'm learning to blog now, mostly about the achievements Imagineer is having, little bit by little bit. We are really in deep gratitude that we have imparted photographical knowledge to some of our past clients, friends, and the most notable person, to Atty. Fortun.

We are also mentioned at some articles, most recently at Wedding Essentials, vol4, issue 2, july-december 2008, pages 286-287. This feature, includes some 5 beautiful weddings of real couple. Our clients, AJ Dimarucot and Audrey David shares these pages with a celebrity, RJ Ledesma (royal tru orange image model) and bride Vanessa Pastor. Imagineer Digital also shares the spotlight with the likes of Pat Dy, Kenneth Uy, and an italian photography company.

Whoa! What an honor our client have given us! even if this is just a mere mention at the credits, sharing the space with renowned photographer Pat Dy is quite an achievement. click on the link for their Cinematic On Site Video Presentation

team Imagineer was pleased and very happy to render our services to a PBA friend, Kelly Williams. He got married at USA and they hosted a dinner for friends here at Corinthian gardens clubhouse. Just recently, he was crowned as the 2008 PBA MVP by virtue or his high SP and media votes. Go Kelly! just now that I have time to blog about this since the current conference has ended with the Bgy. Ginebra Kings won the finals. check out some of Kelly's pics here: http://imagineerdigital.multiply.com/photos/album/119/kellyericas_phil_wedding_reception
and their USA wedding video which we did a short video for, here: http://imagineerdigital.multiply.com/video/item/85

"RF: Whose wedding would I like to shoot?

EC: Shoot!

RF: I’d like to shoot Prince William’s wedding to any future bride

EC: Wow! Would you like him to marry soon?

RF: Prince William? In about five years. By then, I would know if I’m worthy to do the shoot. Can I have another question as a last one?

EC: Sure!

RF: Ask me this: Students have masters from whom they learn. Who are yours? Answer: Ross Capili for portraitures and Frank Dizon of Imagineer Digital for weddings/events. I’m training under Frank Dizon for weddings."
